In 2018, <br /> only one disposal record was found for used antifreeze(11/5/2018)and parts washer waste(7/3/2018). No <br /> disposal records were found for oily debris. In 2017, only two disposal records were found for used oil. No disposal <br /> records were found for oily debris or parts washer waste. In 2016, no disposal records were found for used oil, <br /> used antifreeze, oily debris, or parts washer waste. <br /> Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts <br /> used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review. <br /> Immediately locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for the last three years, maintain them on site. Submit the <br /> following missing disposal records to the EHD(sorted by year and waste stream): <br /> 2018: used antifreeze, oily debris, parts washer waste <br /> 2017: used oil,oily debris, parts washer waste <br /> 2016: used oil, used antifreeze, oily debris, parts washer waste <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2)Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> The facility produces bondo dust waste after sanding metal objects. The facility made a hazardous waste <br /> determination that bondo dust waste was to be disposed of as hazardous waste. Materials used to sand the objects <br /> were observed in a trash can in the main shop and in a trash can in the paint booth area. An employee stated that <br /> bondo dust waste will sometimes be thrown away into the trash. He then stated employees try to take all of the <br /> waste out of the trash, but that they do not get everything. <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire,explosion, or release of hazardous <br /> waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately remove all <br /> bondo dust waste from the trash cans, and properly dispose of and manage the waste according to Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was <br /> managed. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> In the paint area,two black 55 gallon steel drums were overfilled with paint waste sticking out of the drum.All <br /> hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste.
