i 26 August 1999 AGE-NC Project No 99-058.0 ' Page,3 of 3 P1, located on the southern portion of the property • Hydrocarbons were not detected in the composite soil sample collected from P 1 However, faint hydrocarbon odor was noted during collection of soil samples from'this probing • Hydrocarbons are not known to have been stored on the southern portion of the site No large hydrocarbon spills have been reported in this area A possible source for the hydrocarbons detected in P 1 may be the former service station previously located at the current Burger King property I • PetroIeum hydrocarbons and volatile organics were not detected in soil samples collected from probing P2 or P3 Other than those related to the operation of the underground storage tanks (UST), currently under investigation, operations at the subject property do not appear to have significantly impacted the site RECOMMENDATIONS .
