Amb
KLEINFELDER
File No 20-3769-01
November 21, 1994
i
• Tabulated results of soil and groundwater samples with copies of certified results
• A groundwater elevation contour map for the monitoring event and an estimate of
the groundwater gradient direction
• Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and
laboratory work
• KlemMder's conclusions and recommendations based on the data acquired
Task B09 -Additional Monitoring Events
Following the completion of Task B08, additional groundwater monitoring will likely be
necessary Kleuifelder can provide four(4) quarterly sampling events of a total of 4 wells of the
previously existing three wells and the one newly-installed well The wells would be sampled
and analyzed as described in Task B03 After each monitoring event, the field and laboratory
0 data would be compiled into a short report for submittal of data to the client and appropriate
agencies
The attached cost estimate summarizes the costs for all additional monitoring This estimate
supersedes our previous estimate (Task A3 of our March 16, 1994 proposal/workplan), and takes
into account the proposed additional wells and the additional chemical analysis required by the
SJCEHD which was previously not included If additional services are required, our cost
estimate could be further refined
ASSUMPTIONS AND CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
• This proposal will be adequate to obtain authorization from the SJCEHD If a more
comprehensive workplan is necessary, additional charge for workplan preparation
will be incurred
• Adequate work space and access will be provided Kleinfelder will attempt to
advance the soil boring at the proposed locations If the drilling equipment cannot be
positioned, alternative drilling locations or sampling methods should be investigated
The borings are to be drilled with a truck mounted drill ng equipped with hollow
stem augers If alternative drilling methods or concrete cutting are required,
40 additional costs may be incurred
• No respiratory protection or shoring will be necessary
ETH and WC/94
Copyright 1994 Klernfelder, Inc Page 9 of 11
