Amb <br /> KLEINFELDER <br /> File No 20-3769-01 <br /> November 21, 1994 <br /> i <br /> • Tabulated results of soil and groundwater samples with copies of certified results <br /> • A groundwater elevation contour map for the monitoring event and an estimate of <br /> the groundwater gradient direction <br /> • Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and <br /> laboratory work <br /> • KlemMder's conclusions and recommendations based on the data acquired <br /> Task B09 -Additional Monitoring Events <br /> Following the completion of Task B08, additional groundwater monitoring will likely be <br /> necessary Kleuifelder can provide four(4) quarterly sampling events of a total of 4 wells of the <br /> previously existing three wells and the one newly-installed well The wells would be sampled <br /> and analyzed as described in Task B03 After each monitoring event, the field and laboratory <br /> 0 data would be compiled into a short report for submittal of data to the client and appropriate <br /> agencies <br /> The attached cost estimate summarizes the costs for all additional monitoring This estimate <br /> supersedes our previous estimate (Task A3 of our March 16, 1994 proposal/workplan), and takes <br /> into account the proposed additional wells and the additional chemical analysis required by the <br /> SJCEHD which was previously not included If additional services are required, our cost <br /> estimate could be further refined <br /> ASSUMPTIONS AND CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> • This proposal will be adequate to obtain authorization from the SJCEHD If a more <br /> comprehensive workplan is necessary, additional charge for workplan preparation <br /> will be incurred <br /> • Adequate work space and access will be provided Kleinfelder will attempt to <br /> advance the soil boring at the proposed locations If the drilling equipment cannot be <br /> positioned, alternative drilling locations or sampling methods should be investigated <br /> The borings are to be drilled with a truck mounted drill ng equipped with hollow <br /> stem augers If alternative drilling methods or concrete cutting are required, <br /> 40 additional costs may be incurred <br /> • No respiratory protection or shoring will be necessary <br /> ETH and WC/94 <br /> Copyright 1994 Klernfelder, Inc Page 9 of 11 <br />
