(AGE) , .'_ 3 <br /> has prepared this work plan for installation of ground water monitoring wells---as-part of the <br /> environmental investigation of-the site located at 16500 West-Clifton Court Road; California.-• - <br /> (Figure 1). The-purpose for the monitoniag well installations -is. to-assess the lateral extent of!, <br /> petroleum liydrocarbon-impacted,soil and ground water.related to:aa%unauthorized release from a'.' <br /> gasoline underground storage tank(UST) formerly located at the-site- This work plan describes the <br /> scope of work.and procedures to be implemented to-advance soil borings; collect and,analyze soil <br /> samples, and to' install and'develop ground water monitoring wells.-- In addition, this .work plan <br /> presents procedures for a quarterly ground water monitoring program. <br /> This work plan has been prepared.as required_by the San Joaquin County.Environmental Health <br /> Department(EHD)by°letter to IVis.:Sarale;dated 12 July,2002,and,is mi accordance with.the Central' <br /> Valley Regional Water. BACKGROUND' <br /> The site is. located in an area-of low-.topographic relief approximately.0.5 miles west of_the <br /> intersection of West-'Clifton Court_ Road and Calpack Road in-Stockton,.California(Figure 1). The;' <br /> ,. site is'mainly utilized as a storage and repair°facility for agricultural-equipment- A portion of the site <br /> is occupied by several structures-utilized for office space and-equipment maintenance,=and a storage :. <br /> ..: yard. One 10,000-gallon gasoline UST was.foi7ierly located on the northern portion of the property. , <br /> Structures and the former tank location are illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> 2.1. . REGI.ONAL_GEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> The property is situated within, the Great Valley Geomorphic Province -of California, a large, <br /> elongate, northwest frending,•asymmetric structural trough..The Great Valley Province hasbeen. fi <br /> filled with thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to Recent, creating a nearly flat- <br /> lying alluvial plain, extending from'the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to the.Klarnath.Mountains - <br /> in the north.
