Lodi Unified School District
820 S, Cluff Avenue,Lodi, California August 1, 1994
Environmental Assessment Report Page: 3
4.0 Conclusions and Recommendations
Two soil borings were drilled in the immediate vicinity of an underground hydraulic oil
line leak. A slight odor and discoloration was noted in the first six inches of soil. The soil
appeared to be clean below six inches and laboratory samples were non detect.
Groundwater is at approximately 80 feet in depth in this area.
It appears that the pipeline leak was discovered before a significant amount of oil was lost.
V;HF has no further recommendations at this time other than the permanent closure of the
underground pipeline. The pipeline should be emptied of any remaining oil and the line
permanently plugged with cement.
The above represents our best professional opinion as to environmental conditions at this
site. These opinions were derived using data at hand, and using standards of care common
to the environmental consulting community in Northern California. Additional work or
sampling at this site may generate data that could lead to a change of opinion regarding
site conditions or appropriate site remediation procedures, or both.
Prepared by:
FYf ',•LQ,-syr ;,
o2157
Michael I YJobefdanz, REA, REHS
California Registered Environments Assessor#02157 v
California Registered Environmental Health Specialist#4783 o;:C1'17
/,, .>
ate ofoFB
4613
w
AIPG
ouis .
