(Clearwater) on behalf of the Clarke Estate, <br /> presents the results of well destruction activities at the referenced project. All work was conducted <br /> { in accordance with well destruction methods-described in Clearwater's letter dated August 18, <br /> 1998, unless modified in the field with concurrence from on-site San-Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services/Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS/EHD) personnel. Workplan approval <br /> i <br /> i - <br /> F was granted by the SJCPHS/EHD in well destruction permits dated August 27, 1998. <br /> All work was conducted in accordance with the LUFT Field Manual,the Tri-Regional Board Staff <br /> Recommendations, Article 11 Corrective Action Regulations of Chapter 16 Underground Storage <br /> Tanks Regulations, and California Well Standards Bulletin 74-81.and 74-90.. <br /> # t <br /> On October 1, 1998, Clearwater supervised Mitchell Drilling Environmental'(MDE), of Rancho <br /> Cordova, California, in the destruction of monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 (see attached <br /> site plan for former well locations). These wells were constructed with 2-inch diameter PVC well <br /> materials constructed within 8-inch diameter boreholes (see attached former well construction <br /> diagrams): <br /> i <br /> MDE used a CME 75 high-torque drill-rig equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow-stem augers to <br /> over-drill well MW-1. Intact well casing and screen was removed from the borehole(see attached <br /> diagrams for former well constriction detail).
