There is an option to manually enter a chemical if it is not already listed. Many of the chemicals that are listed on CERS are chemicals that were input by other facilities. Another option is to search the CAS number. You can find the CAS number in the SDS — Safety Data Sheet. Or, as I said, manually enter the chemical information into CERS using the SDS. Hazardous materials usually come with SDS information. If you are unable to locate the SDS sent by the manufacturer, you can also do a google search. See attachments for example of an SDS and how do manually add a chemical to CERS.
