This facility does not have a valid EPA ID number to manage hazardous waste. A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without an EPA ID number. Immediately obtain an EPA ID number to manage hazardous waste and submit evidence to the EHD by April 28, 2013. A form has been provided. 108. Metal fines generated from sharpening landscaping equipment blades are being recycled as scrap metal without first determining particle size or hazardous properties. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop recycling metal fines, make a hazardous waste determination for the metal fines, and manage it according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by April 28, 2013- 122 & 125. Copies of hazardous waste disposal records since this business took over on January 1, 2012 were not found on site. Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately locate a copy of all manifests and receipts since January 1, 2012, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD by April 28, 2013. ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
