Structural BMPs are usually implemented when non- <br /> structural BMPs (Section 5.1.1) are ineffective. The following structural BMPs are considered: <br /> • Overhead Coverage-Provides horizontal coverage of materials, chemicals, and pollutant <br /> sources from contact with storm water; <br /> • Retention Ponds-Prevents storm water discharge from the facility; <br /> • Control Devices-Channels or routes run-on and runoff away from pollutant sources; <br /> • Secondary Containment-Collects and contains leaks or spills from storage areas; and <br /> • Treatment-Reduces pollutants in storm water discharges by implementing inlet controls, <br /> infiltration devices, clarifiers, detention ponds, etc. <br /> 5.2 Assignments to Implement the Bl►'1[Ps <br /> The planned non-structural and structural BMPs listed in Table l are to be implemented in 2004. <br /> The GM is responsible for the existing and future BMPs shown in Table l. <br /> Colder Associates <br />
