0
Laboratory data sheets for these samples will be submitted with the third quarter 1999 NPDES report.
Also, KMEP will submit a permit application for an individual NPDES permit for this site. Finally,
KMEP will analyze receiving water samples for MTBE on a monthly basis as part of NPDES
monitoring at the Site.
KMEP will conduct sampling of surface water in Trapper Slough at the approximate locations
indicated in the report "Combined Annual Groundwater Monitoring Report, Results of Further
Investigation and Recommendations for Additional Work," dated 12 May 1999. Surface water
samples will also be collected from locations S-1 and S-2 during this sampling event. Results of this
sampling is scheduled to submitted to the RWQCB by 16 August 1999, as specified in the 16 July
letter.
KMEP will conduct an evaluation of the groundwater treatment system to assess for potential
improvements that could increase the system process flow rate in a cost-effective manner.
KMEP will conduct a capture zone analysis of the existing groundwater extraction system. A work
plan providing details of this analysis is scheduled to be submitted to the RWQCB by 10 September
1999,as requested in the 16 July letter.
Comment#S
KMEP will install well LF-20 at the location indicated in the letter. A report presenting the results of
installing and sampling that well is scheduled to be submitted to the RWQCB by 31 August 1999, as
requested in the 16 July letter.
The location of the deeper boring along the former pipeline will be moved to within approximately
100 feet of well N-7. Deeper monitoring wells will be recommended, as necessary, based on the data
obtained from deeper grab groundwater sampling.
KMEP will provide comments to the revised MRP for the site by 16 August 1999, as requested in the
letter.
