OctF08-01 04: 16P • • P. 14
irtai( Rwl B M' e'e vi Stan S 71D Gt/ork /p j7 pQ/Zqt/b 1
From: Quinn, Catherine [mailto:QuinnC@kindermorgan.com)
Sent: September 27, 2001 9:58 AM
To: Mary E. Serra (E-mail)
Cc: Wuttig, Mark/THO; Sheets, Keith/SFO
Subject: Holt Source Area Characterization WP Addendum
Hi Mary,
Thanks for taking the time from your busy schedule to review the
Addendum to the Holt Source Area Characterization Work Plan. Based
on our telephone conversation September 26, 2001, I understand that
you have approved the approach described in the work plan addendum,
with the following exceptions.
Reduce the number of sampling locations from 19 to 10, maintaining
sample locations 2 , 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, HA-2, and HA-6, as
illustrated in Figure 2 of the addendum. Locations 1, 3, 4, 7, 9,
HA-1, HA-3, HA-4, and HA-5 that were identified in the addendum will
be omitted from the field program. The primary rationale for
proposing those locations in the addendum was to maintain
consistency with the previous work plan prepared by the former
consultant. We agreed during the telephone meeting today that these
locations are technically redundant and will not be necessary to
characterize the source area.
As stated in the addendum, CH2M HILL plans to perform field work
during the week of October 15, and anticipates the work can be
completed in 2 to 3 days. I will forward to you in a subsequent e-
mail a schedule of the borings that will be advanced each day so
that we can coordinate split sample collection with you.
CH2M HILL and I will present the findings of the investigation to
you during the next quarterly meeting, November 15, 2001 . Assuming
that this work will conclude investigation of the site, a
comprehensive investigation report will be submitted to you by
January 31, 2001 . This report will include a summary of previous
investigations, as you requested during our August 15, 2001 meeting
at your office.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Regards,
Catherine Quinn
KINDER--MORGAN Energy Partners, L.P.
Project Manager - Remediation
1100 Town and Country Road
Orange, CA 92868
tel : (714) 560-4875
fax: (714) 560-6633
