THESE DRAFT PERMITS ENCOMPASS NEITHER THE CLOSURE <br /> OF THE TWO LANDFILL UNITS NOR THE OPERATIONS ASSOCIATED <br /> WITH THE THREE BURN PITS USED TO DETONATE EXPLOSIVE <br /> CONTAMINATED WASTES. <br /> If approved, the permits would grant Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory - <br /> Site 300 approval to continue to operate a 60-drum storage area and treat corrosive <br /> waste in Building 883 under Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, 42 U.S.C. <br /> 6901 et seq.; 40 C.F.R. Parts 264 and 270; Health and Safety Code, Ch 6.5 and 6.7; <br /> and California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Chapter 30.
