e <br /> Q INTRODUCTION <br /> *: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories (LLNL) has <br /> selected O.H. Materials Co. (OHM) as the contractor for <br /> processing and preparation for disposal of a variety of <br /> laboratory reagent chemicals contained at the LLNL facility <br /> located in Livermore, California. The variety of chemicals which <br /> may be encountered at the facility include: <br /> * Flammables <br /> * Pyrophorics <br /> * Oxidizers <br /> * Poisons <br /> * Radioactives <br /> * PCBs <br /> * Reactives <br /> * Irritants <br /> * Corrosives <br /> Prior to the initiation of actual work at the LLNL <br /> facility, a detailed work plan is required to be submitted <br /> to LLNL for approval. The balance of this document constitutes <br /> the work plan for LLNL project. <br /> The work plan has been structured to clearly explain the <br /> methodology to be utilized to accomplish certain tasks. It must <br /> be noted that in actual performance, alternative methods may be <br /> employed based on a particular situation or need. Such <br /> alternative methods will be clearly explained and approved by <br /> f <br /> LLNL before implementation. <br /> 2. 0 TECHNICAL APPROACH <br /> The technical approach for the LLNL Project consists of <br /> the following sections: <br /> 2 . 1 Mobilization and Site Preparation <br /> 2.2 Laboratory Reagent Disposal Procedure <br /> Other integral parts of the technical approach are Safety, <br /> Scheduling, and Management as presented in Sections 3. 0, 4.0, anc <br /> 5.0 . <br /> OHI <br />
