2-,2 Protective Equipment <br /> Personnel entering the exclusion zones shall be in <br /> level "B" protection as follows: <br /> 1. Coveralls or Tyvek suits as undergarment <br /> 2. Saran-coated Tyvek or PVC as overgarment <br /> 3 . Hard Hat with face shield <br /> 4 . Booties over steel toed shoes or boots <br /> 5. Sample gloves under PVC or steel mesh outer gloves <br /> 6. SCBA or air line respirator with escape bottle <br /> 7. Robar Boots <br /> All joints will be taped or mechanically connected. <br /> Personnel entering the contamination reduction zone <br /> shall be in Level "C" as follows: <br /> 1. Coveralls under Tyvek suit <br /> 2 . Hard hat with face shield <br /> 3 . Booties over steel toed shoes or boots <br /> 4. Sample gloves <br /> x ,r <br /> 5. half face respirator with R-563 cartridges <br /> 6. Robar boots <br /> All joints will be taped. <br />>xg 3 . 4 Decontamination Procedure <br /> Decontamination stations will be set up at the intersection <br /> of the exclusion zones and the contamination reduction zones. <br /> Personnel departing the exclusion zones will decontaminate in the following steps moving from the exclusion zone to the support <br /> area. <br /> 1. Remove tape from joints and discard tape. <br /> 2 . Remove boots, wash, rinse and stack. <br /> 3 . Remove respiratory protection. <br /> 4 . Remove PVC suit, wash, rinse, and hang to dry. <br /> 5. Remove hard hat, wash, and rinse. <br /> 6. Remove saran suit and discard. <br /> 7. Remove sample gloves and discard. <br /> Personnel working in the contamination reduction zone <br /> will use a similar procedure for decontamination prior to <br /> leaving the contamination reduction zone. <br />_ OHM <br />
