MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM FOR -6-
CITY OF TRACY
CLASS II LAND TREATMENT FACILITY
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
2. Proposed conceptual design and location of water quality monitoring points includin; those at
the point of compliance (§2550.7);
3. Proposed monitoring parameters, constituents of concern, and their monitoring frequencies
(§2550.7 and §2550.8);
4. Proposed concentration limits and /or methods for establishing concentration limits
(§2550.4); and
5. Proposed statistical methods for determining statistically significant evidence or a release
from the land treatment units.
GROUND WATER AND VADOSE ZONE MONITORING
The ground water surface elevation (in feet and hundredths, M.S.L.) in all wells shall be measured
each time a well is sampled and used to determine the velocity and direction(s) of ground water
flow. This information shall be displayed on a water table contour map and/or ground water flow
net for the site. At each monitoring event, the Discharger shall demonstrate compliance with the
water quality protection standard.
Ground water monitoring wells and vadose zone monitoring devices shall, at a minimum, be
sampled and analyzed as follows:
MONITORING FOR GROUND WATER AND VADOSE ZONE
Sampling
Report in & Reporting
Parameter/Constituent Units of Frequency
Specific Conductance (field) µmhos/cm Quarterly
pH (field) pH units Quarterly
Floating hydrocarbons presence or absence Quarterly
Total Dissolved Solids mg/1 Quarterly
Dissolved Organic Carbon mg/1 Quarterly
Turbidity (except for vadose) mg/1 Quarterly
Total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH)'
as gasoline µg/1 Quarterly
as diesel µg/1 Quarterly
Total recoverable petroleum µg/1 Quarterly
hydrocarbons (TRPH)' µg/1 Quarterly
Purgeable aromatics' µg/1 Quarterly
