If the pH of background soils at
the site of disposal less than 6.0, extraction solutions shall be as specified in Title 22,
CCR, §66700(e). If the pH of background soils is greater than or equal to 6.0, deionized
water may be used as the extraction solution for all inorganic constituents measured.
TDS measurements shall always be conducted on deionized water WET extracts.
Analytical methods listed in Title 22, CCR, §66700(b) shall be used for analysis of all
applicable analytes in WET extracts. Standard methods shall be used for analysis of
TDS. Analytical detection limits shall be as close to EPA Method Detection Limits as
practicable.
GROUND WATER AND VADOSE ZONE MONITORING PROGRAM
The Discharger shall submit for approval a proposed ground water and vadose zone pore fluid
monitoring system and program in accordance with Article 5 of Chapter 15.
