During groundwater sampling activities approximately three to five well volumes will be purged
and samples will be collected as described in Attachment B. Each of the four water samples
collected for quantitative analyses will be submitted under chain-of-custody control to Sequoia
Analytical Laboratories of Sacramento, California. Sequoia is certified by the State of California
Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) for the requested following analyses. The four
groundwater samples would be analyzed for:
• Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Total Xylenes by EPA Method 8020 [BTEX]
• Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Gasoline [TPH-G] by
EPA Method 8015M
• Oil and Grease by EPA Method 5520
• 5 Luft metals (Pb,Ni, Cd, Cr and Zn) by EPA Methods
The water samples will be analyzed on an accelerated laboratory schedule requiring
approximately one week (five working days) for completion unless the optional rush analytical
turnaround is requested by the client at an additional charge.
Task E03 - Reporting
Upon completion of the field activities and receipt of the analytical results, a report of findings
for the sampling will be prepared for client and agency review. The report will include:
• A description of the field activities, observations, and protocols
• Lithologic Logs
• Tabulated results of soil and groundwater samples with copies of certified results
• A graphical representation of soil and groundwater sampling locations
• Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and laboratory
work
• Kleinfelder's conclusions and recommendations based on the data acquired.
All information gathered during the study by Kleinfelder is considered confidential and will be
released only upon written authorization from the client or as required by law. California law
requires a person to inform the State if a situation is encountered that can be considered an
immediate endangerment to the public's health or welfare and/or to the environment.
20-YPI-628/2011P180 Page A-8
C 2001,Kleinfelder,Inc.
