The OVM <br /> measures the total organic compounds'(VOC's)vapor concentration. <br /> Monitoring of the working air space shall be concentrated around the drilling <br /> rig and in the down wind direction. <br /> '- If working air space concentrations exceed the Permissible Exposure Limits <br /> (PEL),the workers will be required to wear respirators with organic vapor <br /> cartridges, which will be on-site. <br /> If working air space at the perimeter of the working space has levels that <br /> exceed the Permissible Exposure Limits for more then 15 minutes, then the <br /> drilling or excavation activity will halt until the concentrations can be <br /> maintained below the Permissible Exposure Limits. <br /> 6.2 Health and Safety Agencies <br /> 1.
