•
Mark Madison City of Stockton MUD page2
Country Club Blvd Sewer Project Dewatering Wells
EHD is also concerned that dewatering wells placed in areas of contamination be
properly destroyed. Monitoring wells placed in areas of contamination must be
destroyed by removing all material within the original borehole ('over-bored') and
filling the created hole with appropriate sealing material. Dewatering wells should be
destroyed by this same method.
EHD recommends that the City of Stockton create protocol that identifies which
dewatering wells are contaminated above discharge levels without treatment and
describe a destruction method for these wells that is acceptable to EHD and the City.
If the City would like EHD to witness the destruction of the dewatering wells, EHD
would charge an hourly rate of $89/hour.
If you have any questions, you may contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
Unit IV
enclosure (facility list / RPs)
c: CVRWQCB — Jim Barton, Sacramento.
c: all RPs on attached Facility list
