Stantec
76(Former BP)Service Station No. 11192
March 10, 2011
Page 7
• Compliance with AB 2886 Requirements. Also per AB 2886 requirements,
Stantec will electronically upload the data obtained during this investigation into
the SWRCB Geotracker Database (www.swrcb.geotracker.ca.Qov).
Documentation of the electronic data format (EDF) submittals will be included in
the final report.
• Soil and Water Disposal. Soil cuttings and purge/rinsate water generated
during well installation activities will temporarily be stored in California
Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved, 55-gallon steel drums on-site
pending characterization and disposal. The drums containing soil and
rinsate/purge water will be removed by a certified waste contractor and
transported to an approved facility for proper disposal.
• Reporting. Following the completion of the CPT investigation and laboratory
analysis of groundwater samples, Stantec will submit a report that will include
data and conclusions. The report will include CPT boring logs, groundwater
analytical results, certified laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody.,
documentation, conclusions, and recommendations for additional monitoring wells
if deemed necessary:y
If such wells, are found to_ be necessary, Stantec will install the additional
monitoring wells using sonic drilling. Soil samples will be collected from the well
borings at five-foot intervals above the water table for the purpose of logging soil
stratigraphy, moisture content, odor, PID readings, and other physical
characteristics. Based on positive PID readings and field observations, at least
two samples from the vadose zone from each well boring will be selected for
laboratory analysis for the same compounds as listed for groundwater, above. In
the event that no positive PID readings are encountered, one soil sample will be
selected from just above the water table and one sample will be collected from an
intermediate depth. This work will be summarized in a second report.
SCHEDULE
Upon approval of this work plan, Stantec is prepared to initiate the CPT investigation with field work
beginning approximately four to six weeks after the applicable permits are received.
11192 CPT Investigation WP 3-2011.doc
