Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
I want to thank you for allowing us to review your files, and for the
assistance provided to us during our visit to your agency on February
2nd and 3rd. The indepth reviews are a very important component of
this program and we have found that the local regulatory agency files
are crucial in determining the eligibility of a claim.
As you and I discussed, when a claimant is found to be out of
compliance with the regulatory agency's corrective action compliance
directives, we offer the agency the alternative of issuing a revised
directive to bring the claimant back into compliance. Should the
agency choose to exercise this option, we agree on an appropriate
deadline and request a copy of the letter sent to the claimant by the
regulatory agency.
The agency must either amend the last directive, or give the claimant
an extension. The claimant must then demonstrate positive action
(other than quarterly site reports and monitoring reports) within the
allotted 90 days. I am enclosing a sample letter in case you'd like
to use it.
The two claims that you said you would, like to issue extensions to
were:
Claim Site Name Site Address
833 Hendrix Trucking 3730 Munford Ave. , Stockton
1026 Sanchez Property 1876 Country Club Blvd. , Stockton
We would like to keep in close contact with you on these cases. You
will be receiving copies of the Letter of Commitment on the other
claims that were deemed in compliance.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at (916) 227-
4366. Thanks again for your assistance.
Sincerely,
..-Susan Phillips
Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund
Enclosure
