San Joaquin Street P �NMENTALH9 Stockton, CA 95202 Ref: Groundwater Investigation Workplan, 1876 Country Club Drive, Stockton, CA. ; correspondence dated Feb. 17, 1993 Dear Margaret; We have just been retained by Manuel & Mary Sanchez , owners of the above property, to provide geological expertise in preparing the necessary workplans, supervision of field work, and submitting reports as required by the EHD. The correspondence of Feb. 17 stated that a workplan for instal- lation of monitoring wells must be submitted by April 19 1993, and the work completed by May 1 , 1993. Because of our current heavy workload, we will not be able to comply with those dead- lines, and request ars extension for submittal of a workplan until May 1. In addition to soliciting bids from qualified drilling contractors, testing laboratories, and other services, a search of County files must be made, and most likely it will be necessary to obtain easements or approval from other landowners to perform the work. Once the workplan has been submitted and approved, it will be necessary to schedule the work with the drilling contractor, nearby property owners, etc. We will certainly attempt to com- plete the work as soon as possible after approval , but due to external factors beyond our control , we cannot guarantee that it will be done within the 30 day timeframe specified. We would appreciate your cooperation on this matter, since we do not want to jeopardize our clients ' ability to obtain reimburse- ment from the Cleanup Fund.
