PLKTE I <br /> ' is 8 portioxn of the map of the city of Stockton showing the <br /> location of the property. <br /> ' GEOLOGIC & GROMOR.PHIC PROVINCE. <br /> The site is located in the southern portion of what is referred <br /> to as the Sacramento Valley, which is within the geomorphic <br /> ' province called the Great Valley of California_ This large <br /> basin, which contains in excess of 25,000 feet of sediments, <br /> extends from Red Bluff on the north to the Transverse ranges on <br /> ' the south. she sediments have been derived primarily from <br /> erosion of the Sierra Nevada Batholith to the east, which have <br /> been periodically reworked and redeposited by the many rivers and <br /> streams. <br /> The Calaveras river is about 1 mile to the north; of the property, <br /> and the Smith Canal is a short distance; to the south. They both <br /> ' empty into the Stockton Deep Water Channel which is to the west <br /> and south.
