Hunter & Associates M , }, � 2220 Loma Vista Dr <br /> Registered Geologists F" Sacramento, CA 95825 <br /> �etroleum& Mineral Appratsers (916) 972-7941 <br /> FAX (916) 972-1683 <br /> March 11 , 1994 <br /> Michael Collins , REHS <br /> San Joaquin County PHS <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 445 No San Joaquin Street <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Ref Third Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report, 1876 Country <br /> Club Drive , Stockton, Site Code 1844 <br /> Dear Michael , <br /> We are enclosing the results of the fourth groundwater measure- <br /> ments , sampling & laboratory results done on January 26 , 1994 , <br /> covering the above property Included are copies of the field <br /> logs made by Del-Tech, laboratory reports , and a site map showing <br /> the directions of the hydraulic gradients measured to date We <br /> have also prepared a table which summarizes the results of the <br /> laboratory work done since sampling began in April , 1993 <br /> The results of the work done to date is summarized below <br /> 1 The water table has risen slightly since the November, 1993 <br /> measurements , but has been relatively stable , fluctuating less <br /> than 1 foot between the measurements taken in April , 1993 , and <br /> January, 1994 <br /> 2 Since measurements began in April , 1993 , the hydraulic gra- <br /> dient has moved in a counterclockwise direction from southeast to <br /> slightly west of due north, refer to PLATE I for specifics <br /> 3 The levels of contamination detected in the water have varied <br /> considerably since the initial samples taken in April , 1993 , and <br /> the three obtained since then, refer to TABLE I for a summary of <br /> those water analyzes The differences are not readily explained <br /> from the data collected to date <br /> COMMENTS <br /> 1 Although the depth to <br /> p groundwater has been fairly stable <br /> since measurements began in April , 1993 , (a maximum vertical <br /> change of 89 feet , ) the amounts of BTEX measured has varied <br /> widely in all three wells , ( refer to TABLE I ) The UST' s had not <br /> been in service for over 15 years , & were removed from the site <br /> in January, 1989 , for those reasons the high levels encountered <br /> are unexpected, and far exceed the levels found in the soil above <br /> and at the interface during the placement of the wells <br /> 1 <br />
