After removal & cleaning of auger flights, 2" OD, <br />' screw-type internal flush , blank & slotted SCH. 40 PVC will be <br /> installed, sand packed, sealed and grouted as shown on schematic <br /> Plate VZZ. The top of the perforations will extend a minimum of <br />' 5 ` above the water table, and 10 .+ below. Each well will be <br /> equipped with a precast surface vault, thoroughly cemented in <br /> place, and a suitable lacking traffic cover. The 2" FVC will <br /> I extend up into the vault far enough to allow the installation of <br /> an expandable cap & lock. The casing will be notched on the <br /> north side for future reference, and each well will be clearly <br /> labeled an the surface for easy identification. <br /> S. Within 1B--214 hours after completion, each well will be <br /> developed by swabbing with a hard rubber disc or other suitable <br /> device for at least 15 minutes, or as directed by the County EHD <br /> representative. Fluids removed are to be placed in suitably <br /> labeled drums and securely sealed for storage on location. <br /> Disposition of the contents will depend on results of laboratory <br /> analysis of the groundwater samples. if requested, the County <br /> EHD office will be notified to witness the operation. <br /> 9. As soon as practical after development , the static water <br /> level in each well will be measured by a suitable electrical <br /> interface probe device, using the notched casing as a reference <br /> Point. A minimum of 3 casing volumes of water will be purgec, <br /> from each well using properly cleaned equipment--removed ✓=!Gads <br /> will be placed in suitably marked drums for later disposal . <br /> Resistivity, temperature & pH will be measured during purging , <br /> which will continue under measurements indicate that well bare <br /> conditions have stabilized. <br /> 10. Water samples will be obtained by use of a clean teflon <br /> bailer or other- suitable device, placed in clean glass vials , and <br /> preserved for shipment. They will be delivered to FGL laboratory <br /> under proper chain of custody with instructions to test fear BTEX <br /> & TPH-G, using test methods & detection limits as required by the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division. The EHD office <br /> will be notified at least 48 hours in advance of commencement of <br /> operations. <br /> 11. The method (s) of disposal of drill cuttings, care samples, <br /> and fluids from these wells will be determined after the results <br /> of laboratory tests have been received and analyzed. The County <br /> EHD will be notified prior to any action taken. <br /> Upon completion of the work, and receipt of all laboratory tests . <br /> a report covering work done, analysis of the results, and <br /> recommended future action will be prepared and submitted to the <br /> 5 <br />
