• CLUSTER WELL DEVELOPMENT MW6 A-B, MW7 A-B AND RI A-B,.APRIL 13, <br /> 2001 <br /> The newly installed A Zone cluster wells were developed approximately 72 hours after <br /> placement of the neat cement sanitary seals Prior to development two measurements <br /> were obtained from each well top of groundwater depth and base of well depth Then <br /> the 2 inch diameter wells were surged with a two inch diameter surge block and the 4 <br /> inch diameter well was surged with a four inch diameter surge block across the screened <br /> interval for approximately five minutes The dwells were purged of approximately 8 to <br /> 10 gallons of water and then surged for another 5 minutes prior to purging another 8 to 10 <br /> gallons of water This surging and purging occurred three times per well, removing 30 <br /> gallons of water from RIA, 24 gallons from MW6A and 24 gallons from MW7A <br /> The newly installed B Zone cluster wells were also developed approximately 72 hours <br /> after placement of the neat cement sanitary seals Prior to development two <br /> measurements were obtained from each well top of groundwater depth and base of well <br /> depth Then the 2 inch diameter wells were surged with a two inch diameter surge block <br /> and the 4 inch diameter well was surged with a four inch diameter surge block across the <br /> screened interval for approximately five minutes The wells were purged of <br /> approximately 8 to 20 gallons of water and then surged for another 5 minutes prior to <br /> purging another 8 to 20 gallons of water This surging and purging occurred three times <br /> . per well, removing 60 gallons of water from RIA, 30 gallons from N4W6A and 25 <br /> gallons from MW7A, see Appendix D-well development field notes ` <br /> DEPTH TO WATER MEASUREMENTS <br /> Depth to water was measured at all wells on April 18, 2001 The measurements were <br /> made from the surveyed elevation at the top of casing at each well using an electrical <br /> air/water interface probe (Table 1) No free product or product sheen was observed in <br /> any of the monitor wells <br /> COLLECTION AND CERTIFIED ANALYSIS OF GROUNDWATER SAMPLES <br /> WEGE and Putman Well Purging (PWP) personnel collected quarterly groundwater <br /> samples from the eleven monitor wells at the site on April 18, 2001 See Appendix E for <br /> QA/QC, details, methods, procedures, abbreviations, and acronyms used in sampling and <br /> analysis <br /> Following depth to water measurements, WEGE and PWP personnel used a truck <br /> mounted vacuum lift pump and dedicated one inch diameter PVC tubing to purge each <br /> well of three volumes of water <br /> 11 Sanchez 2nd QM 2001 <br />
