After purging, the wells were allowed to recover to at least 80% of their original well <br /> volumes A groundwater sample was then collected from each well with a polyethylene <br /> bailer and decanted with no headspace into two 40 ml VOA vials containing 0 5 ml HCL <br /> acid as a preservative <br /> The samples were delivered with accompanying chain of custody documentation to KIFF <br /> Analytical LLC (DHS certified #2236) analyzed the water samples from each monitor <br /> well for concentrations of TPH-G, BTEX, 7 Oxygenants and Lead Scavengers (1,2 <br /> Dichloroethane and 1,2 Dibromoethane) using EPA method 8260B <br /> DISPOSITION OF WASTEWATER <br /> Groundwater purged from well development (MW6A-B, MW7A-B and RIA-B) along <br /> with the groundwater purged during the April 18, 2001 sampling of the monitor wells and <br /> the rinseate from decontamination of the "Geoprobe" investigation and well installation <br /> was temporarily contained on-site in labeled 55 gallon DOT approved drums <br /> RESULTS OFF QUARTERLY GRONDWATER MONITOIRNG <br /> GROUNDWATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION <br /> A-ZONE <br /> Figure 4 uses the new survey elevations supplied by Kjeldsen, Sinnock & Keudeck, Inc <br /> survey dated May 1, 2001, see Appendix B Casing elevations from the new survey <br /> showed a decrease of 0 54 to 0 55 feet in elevation Figure 4A shows the groundwater <br /> elevation gradient and flow direction determined from depth to water measurements at <br /> the five on-site monitor wells and the newly installed A Zone wells on April 18, 2001 <br /> The groundwater elevation has decrease by an average of 0 28 feet at the five monitor <br /> wells (MW I, MW2, MW3, MW4 & MW5) since the previous quarterly monitoring <br /> round on March 29, 2001 With the addition of the cluster wells MW6A, MW7A and <br /> RI A the flow direction is consistent with previous measurements at 0 001 ft/linear ft to <br /> the northwest as measured from MW3 to MW6A <br /> B ZONE <br /> Monitor wells MW 1, MW2, MW3, MW4, MW5 penetrate both the A and B zones <br /> Figure 4B show the gradient determination for the B Zone utilizing only the cluster wells <br /> RIB, MW6B and MW713 The flow direction is consistent with the A Zone <br /> measurements at 0 001 ft/linear ft to the northwest as measured from the -5 84 foot <br /> contour to MW613 <br /> 12 Sanchez 2nd QM 2001 <br />
