A AND B ZONE AQUIFER PARAMETERS
In order to gain some knowledge of the actual aquifer parameters of the A and B Zones,
constant rate drawdown tests will be performed in MW6A and in MW6B.
24 HOUR CONSTANT RATE PUMP TEST MW6A
In order to determine the aquifer properties of the upper sand a constant rate pump test
will be performed from MW6A. The pump will be placed in MW6A and water will be
pumped from the well at a rate that will not convert the well from confined to unconfined
conditions
Down hole pressure transducers will be used to collect drawdown information from
MW6A, MW6B, RW I A, RW 1 B and MW 1 Depth to water in the other surrounding
wells will be measured periodically with the depth to water meter and recorded to 0.01
foot accuracy. The results of the test will be evaluated by developing both distance
drawdown and drawdown over tune graphs for the wells.
If particular interest in this test will be the timing of the observable drawdown in MW6B,
which will be indicative of the leakage between the two sands
24 HOUR CONSTANT RATE PUMP TEST MW6B
In order to determine the aquifer properties of the lower B zone sand a constant rate
pump test will be performed from MW6B The pump will be placed in MW6B and water
will be pumped from the well at five gallons per minute
Down hole pressure transducers will be used to collect drawdown information from
MW6A, MW6B, MW7B, RWIA, RWIB and MW 1. Depth to water in the other
surrounding wells will be measured periodically with the depth to water meter and
recorded The results of the test will be evaluated by developing both distance drawdown
and drawdown over tune graphs for the wells
If particular interest in this test will be the timing of the observable drawdown in MW6A
which will be indicative of the leakage between the two sands.
TEST TO DETERMINE TIGHTNESS OF SEALS hM& MW7B.
In order to determine if there is communication between the two groundwater zones due
to the presence of MW7B, a short test will be performed in MW7A. The pump will be
28 Sanchez 2nd QM 2001
