R2M ION <br /> 3.1 cumov agreso to undertake all activities which aro <br /> required by lawful order or demanded under lawful authority <br /> of the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) or its <br /> designated agency, to control, remove, remediate or mitigate <br /> to levels acceptable to any such agency, any environmental <br /> contamination of the soil and groundwater at or emanating <br /> from the FORKNR SERVICE STATION 9ITB which is attributable <br /> to aarvice station operations of CHEVRON. CHEVRON shall <br /> provide reports to the RWQCB, or its designated agency, at <br /> Intervals regarding the progress of its remediation efforts. <br /> At such time that CHEVRON concludes it has ramodiatad the <br /> site to levels acceptable t0 the RWQCB, or its designated <br /> agency, it shall provide a final report to the RWQCB, or its <br /> designated agency, and requost that no further remedial <br /> monitoring action occur at the former servios station site. <br /> CHEVRON shall also request a letter or acknowledgment from <br /> the RWQCB or its designated agency that CHEVRON has <br /> satisfactorily completed the work outlined in its <br /> ramadiatien work plan. Chevron shall bear the responsi- <br /> bility for controlling, removing, remediating or mitigating <br /> of any environmental contamination, until such time as the <br /> RWQCB, or its designated agency, acknowledges that Chevron <br /> has completed the work outlined in its remediation work <br /> plan. <br /> ._3_ <br /> 4 I, <br />
