CAMBRIA
in anticipation of removal of the waste oil UST, which is located immediately adjacent to the
sanitary sewer line. Cambria will be able to resume groundwater extraction from well RW-1A
once the waste oil UST excavation has been backfilled and the sewer lateral has been secured.
UST backfill activities are currently scheduled for Monday, November 15, 2004.
Overexcavation is also planned in an area adjacent to the former waste oil UST location, as part
of the July 16, 2004 Corrective Action Plan/Overexcavation Work Plan. During overexcavation
activities, groundwater extraction system piping and the sanitary sewer lateral will be exposed,
and Cambria will once again shut the GWE system down because of the risk of damage to the
unsupported piping. Overexcavation activities are currently scheduled to begin the week of
© November 22, 2004. These activities, followed by backfill and compaction of clean imported
soil, are expected to take approximately three weeks. As soon as they are completed and all
underground plumbing associated with the remediation system is re-secured, we will
immediately inform you and then resume operation of the GWE system.
If you have any questions regarding the contents of this document, please call Joe Neely at (707)
933-2361 .
I
Sincerely,
Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc.
Cyn 'a asko AvyUV{
Senior Staff Engineer
Joe W.
