C A M B R I A <br /> i <br /> RW-lA contained MTBE concentrations ranging from 11 1 to 408,000 ppb Wells <br /> MW-9 through MW-11 were ND for TPPH, benzene, MTBE, and other fuel oxygenates <br /> These data are shown on the chemical concentration map (Plate 2) and are summarized <br /> in the table in Blaine's monitoring report (Appendix A) <br /> • Separate phase petroleum hydrocarbons were not present in Well RW-lA this quarter <br /> • Beginning in March 1999, weekly groundwater extraction (GWE) is being performed on <br /> Well RW-IA During each GWE event, approximately 5,000 gallons of water is purgcd <br /> by a vacuum truck and transported to the Martinez Refining Company for recycling As <br /> of May 24, 1999, approximately 44,500 gallons of water has been removed from <br /> RW-IA These data are presented on Table 1 <br /> • Groundwater samples collected from deep monitoring Wells MW-12 through MW-14 did <br /> not contain detectable levels of TPPH, benzene, MTBE, or other fuel oxygenates <br /> • Groundwater samples collected from the Boardman well port located at 2452 Country <br /> Club Boulevard and the Warman well located at 2468 Country Club Boulevard contained <br /> TPPH at concentrations of 80 0 and 415 ppb, respectively No other petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons or fuel oxygenates were detected in the groundwater samples collected from <br /> the CalTrans irrigation well or the domestic wells The laboratory analytical results are <br /> summarized in the table in Blaine's monitoring report (Appendix A) <br /> • During the first quarter 1999 sampling event, 5 3 ppb MTBE was detected in the Franco <br /> well port by EPA Method 8260 As a result, Blame resampled the well on March 5, <br /> 1999, and no petroleum hydrocarbons or fuel oxygenates were detected <br /> Quarterly Sampling <br /> Groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPPH) <br /> and methanol according to EPA Method 8015 (Modified), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, <br /> xylenes (BTEX), and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) according to EPA Method 8020, <br /> and fuel oxygenates according to EPA Method 8260 <br /> Field monitoring data and chemical analytical data are presented to a summary table in <br /> Blaine's groundwater monitoring report (Appendix A) <br /> 46 <br /> 241-0783 2 <br />
