Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Subject: ,Work Plan-Exxon Location R/S 7-3708 <br /> 2705 Country Club Boulevard, Stockton, California <br /> Delta Project No. 40-91-838 <br /> I <br /> Dear Mr. Infurna: <br /> } DeIta Environmental Consultants, Inc, (Delta), has been authorized by Exxon Company U.S.A. <br /> (Exxon), to submit this work plan for the installation of three additional monitoring wells at the <br /> above-referenced site(Figure 1). The purpose of this phase of the investigation is to define the areal <br /> extent of the petroleum hydrocarbon plume. Monitoring well locations are shown in Figure 2. <br /> Scope ofWork <br /> The following activities are proposed to accomplish the stated objective: <br /> o Drill three off-site soil borings to approximately 30 feet below grade and convert them to <br /> monitoring wells (MW-4, MW-5, and MW-6). <br /> o Collect soil samples at 5-foot intervals with a modified California sampler and classify <br /> soils according to the Unified Soil Classification System(USCS). <br /> • Screen the recaver&l soil samples in the field with a photoionization detector(PID)for the <br /> presence of organic vapors. <br /> • Submit one soil sample from each soil boring (one above th© water table) to a <br /> California-certified laboratory for benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene,and xylenes(BTEX)by <br /> —Protection: <br /> U.S. Environmental Agency- p�.troleum--- ----- --- <br /> (EPA) Method--8020 and-total— — _-T <br /> hydrocarbons(TPH)as gasoline by modified EPA Method 8015. <br /> • Develop and survey each monitoring well. <br /> 4•.. <br /> Delta Delivers Solutions <br />
