(Exxon), to <br /> evaluate the presence or absence of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil and groune water beneath a retail <br /> gasoline station located at 2705 Country Club 13oule-card,Stockton,San Joaquin County, California. The <br /> site location is shown in Figure 1. <br /> �• 1.1 Scnpe of Work <br /> Work performed at the site included the following tasks: <br /> • Drilling three soil borings to 27 feet below grade and completing them as ground water <br /> monitoring wells MW-1,MW-2,and MW-3. <br /> Collecting soil samples at approximately 5-foot intervals. <br /> o Screening the recovered soil samples in the field for the presence of organic vapors and <br /> submitting selected samples for laboratory analysis of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents. <br /> • Developing, purging, and collecting ground water samples from each monitoring well for <br /> laboratory analysis of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents. <br /> i Surveying monitoring well riser elevations and measuring ground water levels in monitoring <br /> wells MW-1.MW-2,and MW-3. <br /> Monitoringwell installation,development,and samplingwas performed on August 23,1991. Delta personnel <br /> returned to site to measure water levels in the monitoring wel's on August 29, 1991.
