Ms Marla Guensler <br /> Exxon Company, U S A <br /> May 3, 1996 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Anal,_yttcal Results <br /> Ground water samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-8 on July 31, 1996, were <br /> submitted to Sequoia Analytical (a California-certified Iaboratory) for analysts of benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline using EPA <br /> 8020 and 8015 Modified, respectively Analytical test results are summarized in Table 2 A <br /> dissolved benzene concentration map based on analytical results for ground water samples collected <br /> on July 31, 1996, is included as Figure 4 A copy of the laboratory analytical report with chain of <br /> custody documentation is presented in Enclosure B <br /> Analytical results reported benzene above the laboratory detection limit in the ground water sample <br /> collected from MW-3 at concentrations of 580 micrograms per literµg/L This is an increase from <br /> 24 /.g/L benzene reported in the sample collected from MW-3 on April 2, 1996 TPH as gasoline <br /> was reported in the ground water sample collected from (MW-3) at a concentration of 1,400 /g/L <br /> The ground water samples collected from MW-1, MW-3, MW-6, and MW-8 contained methyl <br /> tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) at concentrations ranging from 5 1 to 224 µg/L MTBE was not present <br /> in the remaining samples <br /> Future Work <br />.
