Underground Storage Tank Removal Report and Work Plan for Additional Site Investigation ti Southland Store#14117 2725 Country Club Boulevard Stockton California September 29 1998 concentrations of 15 2 mg/kg and 42 9 mg/kg Benzene was not detected in the sample collected (Appendix C) On July 21, 1998,two soil samples (SP-1AB and SP-2AB)were collected from the 40 cubic yards of soil generated from the bottom of the UST excavation and an additional 43 cubic yards generated from ' the new tank pit excavation The samples were analyzed for BTEX, MTBE, TPH-G, and total petroleum hydrocarbons-as-diesel (TPH-D) by EPA method 8015/8020 (Appendix C) Results of the analysis are Included in Table 1 On July 22, 1998, approximately 125 tons of soil generated from the ' excavation of the new UST pit and the 40 cubic yards from the old tank pit was removed from the site by Belshire and transported to TPS 1 On July 27 and 28, 1998, approximately 340 tons of soil generated during excavation of the new tank pit excavation was transported by Belshire to TPS for proper treatment and disposal Sod transported ' on July 27, 1998 was not sampled prior to removal On July 28, 1998, one four-point composite sample (SP-3ABCD)was collected from the remaining 127 tons of soil stockpiled at the site and analyzed for BTEX, MTBE, TPH-G, and TPH-D by EPA method 8015/8020 Sample analytical results are summarized in Table 1 Following sampling, the remaining 127 tons of sod stockpiled at the site was transported by Belshire to TPS On July 30, 1998, one two-point composite sample (SP-413)was collected from the approximately 70 cubic yards of sod (90 tons) stockpiled at the site The sample was analyzed for BTEX, MTBE, TPH-G, and TPH-D by EPA method 8015/8020 Sample analytical results are summarized in Table 1 On July ' 31, 1998,the stockpiled soil was transported by Belshire Environmental to TPS for treatment and disposal ' On August 27 and 28, 1998, approximately 147 tons of sod stockpiled at the site was transported by Belshire to TPS On August 14, 1998, pnor to sod removal, one five-point composite sample and one three-point composite sample were collected from the approximately 80 cubic yards{1 47 tons) stockpiled at the site The soli was analyzed for BTEX, MTBE, TPH-G, and TPH-D by EPA methods 8015/8020,the oxygenates TBA, MTBE, DIPS, ETRE, TAME, methanol, and ethanol by EPA method 8260, and total lead by EPA method 6010 In addition, the samples were analyzed using the 96-hour ' hazardous waste definitive toxicity bioassay analysis to determine disposal charactenzation of the sod to be removed Results of the laboratory analysis are included in Table 1 1 14117ustrM FLUOR DANIEL GTI t.1
