Underground Storage Tank Removal Report and Work Plan for Additional Site investigation 5 <br /> Southland Store#14117 2725 Country Club Boulevard Stockton California September 29 1998 <br /> the soil sample NTP-SW-15 at 0 092 mg/kg and 1 5 mg/kg, respectively MTBE,TBA, and methanol <br /> were detected by EPA method 8260 at 23 mg/kg, 98 mg/kg, and 240 mg/kg, respectively <br /> 4.3 Tank Pit Dewatering <br /> ' On July 24 through July 30, 1998, approximately 30,900 gallons of water was removed from the new <br /> tank pit excavation using vacuum trucks to allow for the Installation of the two new 10,000 gallon USTs <br /> ' The water was transported by Integrated Wastestream Management as non-hazardous waste to <br /> Seaport Environmental in Redwood City, CA for recycling Non-hazardous water transport forms for <br /> the seven loads removed from the site are included in Appendix D <br /> 4 4 Conductor Casing Installation <br /> ' During the UST installation,three conductor casings were placed between the two 10,000-gallon USTs <br /> in the pea gravel backfill at the locations shown in Figure 2 Each of the three casings are constructed <br /> ' of 10-Inch diameter solid Schedule 40 PVC piping and extend to approximately 12 feet BGS Each <br /> conductor casing is protected at the surface by 10-diameter slip cap and traffic-rated street box(with <br /> watertight bolted lid) set in concrete The conductor casings were installed for possible use during <br /> future environmental investigations at the site <br /> ' 5 0 WASTE DISPOSAL <br /> Soil generated during the removal of the former USTs and the excavation of the new tank pit was <br /> stockpiled and removed from the site on five separate events Soil samples were collected in 6-inch <br /> diameter brass sleeves approximately 18-Inches beneath the surface of the soil stockpile Analytical <br /> ' results for the sod samples collected are included in Appendix C and summarized in Table 2 All soil <br /> generated at the site was transported by Belshire Environmental Services, Inc as non-hazardous waste <br /> to TPS Technologies, Inc in Richmond, California for treatment and disposal Non-hazardous Waste <br /> ' Transport forms are included in Appendix E <br /> On July 15 and 16 1998, prior to the removal of the USTs, approximately 278 tons(185 cubic yards) of <br /> 1 soil generated during the UST excavation was removed from the site and transported by Belshire <br /> Environmental Services, Inc to TPS Technologies, Inc in Richmond, California for proper treatment <br /> and disposal The soil was not sampled prior to removal from the site but was sampled upon arnval at <br /> TPS The soil sample was submitted to Weck Laboratories, Inc in Industry, California and analyzed for <br /> BTEX, TPH-G, and TPH-D following EPA methods 8015/8020 TPH-G and TPH-D were detected at <br /> 14117usirpt <br /> FLUOR DANIEL G71 <br />
