Decontaminate sampling equipment in an Alconox solution and rinse with water prior to each <br /> sampling run. <br /> 5_ Obtain soil samples at 5-foot intervals beginning at 5 feet bsg. Samples will be collected using <br /> a Geoprobe soil sampling assembly pre-loaded with four 1.125-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves. <br /> 6. Preserve soil samples in the second brass sleeve by covering both ends with Teflon sheets, <br /> capping, and sealing with tape. <br /> 7. Label and log samples on a chain-of-custody form. <br /> 8. Store samples in a chilled container and transport to a State-certified laboratory for analysis <br /> of TPH-g, TPH-d, BTE&X and MTBE in accordance with EPA methods 8015m, 8020/602 <br /> and 8260. <br /> 9. Monitor soil sample duplicates for the presence of organic vapor using a photo-ionization <br /> detector (PID) pre-calibrated to isobutylene. <br /> 10. Log soil sample duplicates in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System. <br /> 11. Backfill each probing to surface grade using portland type II cement. <br /> 4.2. GROUND WATER SA:tiIPL1NG <br /> The following procedures will be performed for collection of grab ground water samples: <br /> 1. Collect a minimum of one grab ground water sample from all soil probe borings. Ground <br /> water samples will be collected using a Geoprobe water sampling assembly. A ground water <br /> sample will be collected at each sampling point in 40-m1 VOA vials containing hydrochloric <br /> acid and one-liter amber bottles. <br /> 2. Transmit each ground water sample to a State-certified laboratory under chain-of-custody <br /> procedure. <br /> 3. Yknalyze each ground water sample for TPH-g, TPH-d, BTE&X and MTBE in accordance <br /> �AC j Nvith EPA methods 8015m, 602 and 8260. <br /> 4.3. REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of probing, sampling and laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared summarizing <br /> results of the work performed.
