' Libbey Owens Ford Co.-Preliminary Soil and Groundwater Investigation Report
Standby Generator Diesel Supply Line
January 26, 1997
Page-8-
4.2 Results of Laboratory Analyses- Soil
Results of the laboratory analyses indicated that BTEX constituents were not detected at or
1 above the laboratory reported detection limits in any of the soil samples, except the soil sample
collected at-ten feet bgs in boring GP6. In the soil sample collected from ten feet bgs in boring GP6,
' laboratory results indicated that benzene was not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection
limit of 500 gg/kg (raised because of elevated levels of diesel in the sample) and that toluene, ethyl
tbenzene and xylenes were present at 910, 1,600, and 8,900 p,g/kg, respectively, Results indicated that
diesel was present at 250, 27, and 17,000 mg/kg in the soil samples collected from GPI, GP4, and
' GP6, respectively, and that motor oil was detected at 64 mg/kg in the sample collected from GP9.
TEPH constituents (kerosene, diesel, and motor oil) were not detected at or above the laboratory
' reported detection limits in soil samples collected from GP2, GP3, GP5, GP7, GP8, GP10, and GP11-
The laboratory results of the soil samples are presented in Table 1, below, and in Figure 5, Appendix
' A. Laboratory reports and chain-of-custody forms for the samples are included in Appendix D.
1
1
 CONDOR
