Pilkington North America,Inc.
Site Background
product were removed; product recovery operations have produced a cumulative total of approximately
221.71 gallons of recovered diesel.
' Condor sampled the three Site monitoring wells and two facility sumps during the first quarter
groundwater monitoring event conducted on February 7, 2012. The average groundwater elevation
' measured in the three Site monitoring wells on February 7, 2012, was 3.05 feet, a decrease of 0.48 feet
since the previous monitoring event on August 3, 2011, and the calculated groundwater gradient was
approximately 0.003 ft/ft to the northeast. Laboratory analytical results indicated that none of the
constituents of concern were detected in the monitoring wells or the SE-sump. A low concentration of
TPH-MO was detected in the SW-sump.
Nineteen diesel recovery and skimmer O/M events were conducted between September 1, 2011, and
March 31, 2012. Free product was observed in recovery wells RW-2, RW-3, and RW-4, and
approximately 7.25 gallons of product were recovered. Product recovery from the Site's recovery wells
' has produced a cumulative total of approximately 228.96 gallons of recovered diesel.
Condor sampled the three Site monitoring wells and two facility sumps during the third quarter
' groundwater monitoring event conducted on August 15 and 28,2012. The average groundwater elevation
in the three Site monitoring wells on August 28, 2012, was 3.03 feet, a decrease of 0.02 feet since the
previous monitoring event on February 7, 2012. The calculated groundwater gradient was approximately
0.004 ft/ft to the northeast. Laboratory analytical results indicated that none of the constituents of concern
' were detected in MW-1, MW-2, or the SE-sump. TPH-D was detected in MW-3 and the SW-sump.
Seventeen diesel recovery and skimmer O/M events were conducted between April 1 and September 30,
' 2012. Free product was observed in recovery wells RW-2, RW-3, RW-4, and RW-6, and approximately
4.45 gallons of product were recovered. Product recovery from the Site's recovery wells has produced a
cumulative total of approximately 233.41 gallons of recovered diesel.
' Condor sampled the three Site monitoring wells and two facility sumps during the first quarter
groundwater monitoring event conducted on February 5, 2013. The average groundwater elevation in the
' three Site monitoring wells was 3.76 feet, an increase of 0.73 feet since previously measured on August
28, 2012. The calculated groundwater gradient was approximately 0.004 ft/ft to the east. Laboratory
analytical results indicated that TPH-K and TPH-MO were not detected at or above the laboratory
' reported detection limits in the three monitoring wells or two facility sumps. TPH-D was detected in the
three monitoring wells and two facility sumps.
Fourteen diesel recovery and skimmer O/M events were conducted between October 1, 2012 and March
31, 2013. Free product was observed in recovery wells RW-2, RW-3, RW-4, and RW-6, and
approximately 5.28 gallons of product were recovered. Product recovery from the Site's recovery wells
has produced a cumulative total of approximately 238.69 gallons of recovered diesel.
' Condor sampled the three Site monitoring wells and two facility sumps during the third quarter
groundwater monitoring event conducted on August 12 and 13, 2013. The average groundwater elevation
' was 3.29 feet, a decrease of 0.47 feet since last measured on February 5, 2013. The calculated
groundwater gradient was approximately 0.004 ft/ft to the northeast. Laboratory analytical results
indicated that TPH-D was detected in the three Site monitoring wells and two facility sumps.
1
1
