The Work Plan was resubmitted to address comments provided <br /> by CVRWQCB in its Comments par the Con(umalion Sampling Work Plan letter dated 4 <br /> November 2019. <br /> The proposed scope of work includes the advancement of bur soil borings to collect soil <br /> samples near the diesel recovery wells to compare to historical elevated diesel range <br /> total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHA concentrations in soil and four addi icnal borings <br /> to wheel soil and groundwater directly outside the demolished furnace building footprint <br /> where the sumps were located. A van-mounted Geoprobe 5400 direct-push drill HIS is <br /> planned for the advancement of borings. Groundwater sampling is proposed for <br /> samples selected from the near the former sump locations and soil samples will be <br /> collected fmm each of the eight borings. The soil borings are proposed to approximately <br /> 15-feet below ground surface (ft-bgs) with soil sample collection from discrete 5-foot <br /> Intervals. Sell samples will be sent to an accredited laboratory for analysis for TPH-d <br /> sing EPA method W15 and naphthalene, became, ethylbenzene analysis using EPA <br /> Method 8200B. Groundwater samples will be sent In an accredited Iabombry for <br /> analysis far dioxins and brans using EPA Method E1813 for samples collected from <br /> MWA and TPHd using EPA method 8015 for all groundwater samples. <br /> wle <br />
