Kennedy/Jenks Consultants 7.4 Site Control Work zones will not be established for Level D activities. Individuals not directly involved in ongoing work will be requested to stay at least 50 feet away from Level D activities. 7.5 Decontamination For activities requiring Level D protection, it is unlikely that major decontamination will be necessary. At the conclusion of each day, disposable gloves and coveralls will be removed and disposed of in onsite containers. These procedures are presented in Table 4. 7.6 Training K/J personnel participating in field activities will have completed the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response 40-hour health and safety training course (29 CFR 1910.120) or have equivalent training, and have undergone annual 8-hour refresher training. Training requirements are discussed in K/J's Corporate Health and Safety Program. Prior to each day of work, a meeting will be held at the site to familiarize personnel with health and safety issues, protective equipment, emergency information and supplies, and to discuss special topics. K/J personnel will have read all three sections of the BNSF Contractor course at www.bncontractor.com and have completed the n exam within the last 12 months. A certification badge will be kept on person at all times while on BNSF property. All staff will have read and have access to MWOR 11 & 12 at the job site. Questions regarding the MWORs may be directed to the SSO. Roadway Worker Protection training (On-Track Safety) is not required for this project as field activities will not take place within 25 feet of centerline of active tracks. If conditions change and work is required within 25' proximity of active tracks, this HASP will be re-evaluated and Roadway Worker Protection will be verified along with an assessment of requirements for a BNSF Flagger or other means of track protection. 7.7 Medical Monitoring K/J personnel participating in field activities will be included in a medical monitoring program. The program includes a baseline physical examination, pulmonary function test, and blood and urine tests. Periodic(annual) examinations will be provided to employees who are exposed to hazardous substances or health hazards at or above the established permissible exposure limit, above the published exposure levels for these substances, without regard to the use of respirators, for 30 days or more a year. Annual examinations will also be provided to K/J employees who wear a respirator for 30 days or more a year or as required by 1910.134.
