Kennedy/Jenks Consultants <br /> Section 2: Proposed Sample Locations <br /> The proposed soil borings are shown on Figure 2. Four soil borings are proposed in the vicinity <br /> of the former locomotive release. One soil boring is proposed at the Site away from the railroad <br /> tracks to provide a reference for site conditions that are not affected by the former locomotive <br /> spill. <br /> The soil borings will be advanced to a maximum depth of 15 feet below ground surface (bgs) <br /> using a hydraulic drive/direct push rig. To better define the vertical extent of petroleum impacts, <br /> discrete soil samples will be collected from three depths in each of the borings: 5 feet bgs, <br /> 10 feet bgs and 15 feet bgs.
