The Site occupies <br /> approximately 4.6 acres of flat land at the western termination of Duck Creek Drive. The <br /> surrounding area consists of warehousing and industrial facilities. Highway 99 fomes the western <br /> property line of the Site. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Soil Sampling on September 18,2003 <br /> Bonsall Petroleum conducted product piping and fuel dispenser upgrade activities at the Site in <br /> September, October and November of 2003. On September 18, 2003, FREY Environmental, Inc. <br /> (FREY) collected one soil sample from beneath each of nine fuel dispensers (labeled Dl through <br /> 139). Five soil samples were collected from beneath the fuel product piping(labeled PI through P5). <br /> One soil sample was collected from beneath a fresh oil dispenser(labeled O 1). Soil sample locations <br /> are shown on Figure 2. <br /> In general,soil samples collected from beneath the fuel dispensers and product piping were analyzed <br /> for total petroleum hydrocarbons modified for diesel(TPH-d)in accordance with EPA Method No. <br /> 8015M. Selected soil samples collected from beneath the fuel dispensers and product piping were <br /> analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons modified for gasoline(TPH-g)in accordance with EPA <br />
