Soil Vapor Extraction and Air Sparging Pilot Test ' Work Plan ' George's Service 1600 West Durham Ferry Road Tracy,California ' Project No. 425.2 October 14, 2014 SUMMARY George's Service (Site) is located at the southeast comer of the intersection of Highway 33 ' and Durham Ferry Road. The Site has been owned by the Teranishi family since the 1940's. Historically it was an automobile repair facility and market. Gasoline was sold at the Site until 1990, when the tanks were removed. Currently all business activity is closed and the property is vacant. Figure 1 shows the vicinity of the site, Figure 2 illustrates the location of the groundwater, air sparging,vapor extraction and observation wells. REMEDIAL HISTORY • The AS treatment system was started on March 1St, 2012 using two existing injection wells. • Three additional AS wells were installed on June 25, 2012. The wells were connected to the AS treatment system and treatment was started on August 24, 2012. • The SVE system was started on October 18, 2012 using two existing extraction wells. • Three additional AS wells were installed on June 21, 2013. The wells were connected to the AS treatment system and treatment was started on July 9, 2013. • Four additional SVE wells were installed on October 3, 2014. The wells were connected to a manifold system and SVE treatment system. The new wells were put on line on October 13, 2014. �yUl Sib _t �t ' Both systems run consistently except for a period of two weeks prior to quarterly groundwater monitoring activities and during routine equipment maintenance work. Currently, air is being injected into seven (7) of the Site's wells including OS-1, OS-2, AS-1, ' AS-2, AS-3, AS-5 and AS-6. Soil vapor is being extracted from 3 through ST -6.
