Soil Vapor Extraction and Air Sparging Pilot Test <br /> ' Work Plan <br /> ' George's Service <br /> 1600 West Durham Ferry Road <br /> Tracy,California <br /> ' Project No. 425.2 <br /> October 14, 2014 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> George's Service (Site) is located at the southeast comer of the intersection of Highway 33 <br /> ' and Durham Ferry Road. The Site has been owned by the Teranishi family since the 1940's. <br /> Historically it was an automobile repair facility and market. Gasoline was sold at the Site <br /> until 1990, when the tanks were removed. Currently all business activity is closed and the <br /> property is vacant. Figure 1 shows the vicinity of the site, Figure 2 illustrates the location of <br /> the groundwater, air sparging,vapor extraction and observation wells. <br /> REMEDIAL HISTORY <br /> • The AS treatment system was started on March 1St, 2012 using two existing injection <br /> wells. <br /> • Three additional AS wells were installed on June 25, 2012. The wells were connected <br /> to the AS treatment system and treatment was started on August 24, 2012. <br /> • The SVE system was started on October 18, 2012 using two existing extraction wells. <br /> • Three additional AS wells were installed on June 21, 2013. The wells were connected <br /> to the AS treatment system and treatment was started on July 9, 2013. <br /> • Four additional SVE wells were installed on October 3, 2014. The wells were <br /> connected to a manifold system and SVE treatment system. The new wells were put <br /> on line on October 13, 2014. �yUl Sib <br /> _t �t <br /> ' Both systems run consistently except for a period of two weeks prior to quarterly <br /> groundwater monitoring activities and during routine equipment maintenance work. <br /> Currently, air is being injected into seven (7) of the Site's wells including OS-1, OS-2, AS-1, <br /> ' AS-2, AS-3, AS-5 and AS-6. Soil vapor is being extracted from 3 through ST <br /> -6.
