CLEARWATE
C
G o U P, I v
rz
Environmental Services
7
Mrs. Stella Ruiz November 15, 1999
4491 West Durham Ferry Road:
Tracy,CA 95376
l
Re: Ruiz Grocery, 4491 West Durham Ferry Road,Tracy, CA
Dear Mrs. Ruiz,
F - I
Enclosed please find a copy of Clearwater Group,Inc.'s(Cl
1999
Groundwater Mnitorrng Report- Fourth Quarter
and Workplan for Confirmation Borings for your site. Copies of the report have'been distributed to the agencies
listed below.
a
The report presents the results of recent ground water monitoring activities performed at your property,in November
1999. The results continue to indicate a downward trend in groundwater contaminants levels since active remediation was
completed from October 1998 to September 1999.
In their most recent letter, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services/Environmenial Health Division requested that
we continue to monitor groundwater for at least a couple quarters to evaluate port-remediation trends, and they also
indicated that confirmation borings would be required to demonstrate clean-up of the soil beneath the site.';Accordingly,
this report also presents a workplan to perform this requested soil sampling. Soil samples will be collected from area of
previously known contamination. The post-remediation samples results will be compared to the pre-remediation results to
n,
j determine if the system was sufficiently effective at cleaning up the soil beneath your property..'Based ori the results of
j;
remediation thus far,I am optimistic that results of this proposed sampling effort will be,positive.
Pi
If you have any questions about the project or scheduling, please feel free to call either Myself or Mr. Henry
thHurkmans at
(510) 893-5160.
i Sincerely, ;.
