Teichert & Son, Inc.
P.O. Box 15002
Sacramento, California 95851
Re: Soil Excavation and Characterization Report, A. Teichert & Son, Inc.,
103 North E Street, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Barber:
EMCON Associates has prepared this letter report documenting the results of soil
excavation and sampling which was conducted at the A. Teichert & Son, Inc. (Teichert)
facility at 103 North E Street, Stockton, California (see Figure 1). This letter report
presents descriptions of the soil excavation and sampling activities, analytical results,
conclusions, and recommendations.
Teichert contracted with EiViCON Associates for assistance in characterizing and
remediating soil at the site. The objectives of the recent site activities documented in
this report were to
C complete soil remediation associated with a prior
underground fuel storage tank removal near the east side
' of the site
• determine whether petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations
' in the remaining soil were sufficiently low for closure to be
granted for the site
The remediation and soil sampling activities were conducted consistent with EMCON
Associates' May 1992 Work Plan for Soil Remediation and Ground-water
Characterization, as approved by Teichert and the San Joaquin County Department
' of Environmental Health.
In summary, the work included excavating potentially diesel-impacted soil from a
former tank location near the east side of the supply yard, and collecting confirmation
soil samples for chemical analysis from this excavation.
' pi0V90\0*00020.2aw
