TEICHERT & SON, INC <br /> 103 NORTH E STREET, STOCKTON <br /> Dear Ms Turkatte <br /> This letter presents the remediation and groundwater monitoring results for the fourth quarter <br /> of 1994 at the A Teichert & Son, Inc facility, 103 North E Street, Stockton, California <br /> During the fourth quarter of 1994,a soil vapor extraction system has been installed,quarterly <br /> groundwater monitoring conducted, and one of the wells reconstructed <br /> Soil 'Vapor Extraction System Installation <br /> A soil vapor extraction system has been installed at the site to remediate petroleum impact <br /> to the soil and groundwater The system includes a thermal oxidation unit to abate petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons in the extracted soil vapor prior to discharge to the atmosphere A Teichert <br /> & Son, Inc procured the system from Environmental Instruments (model EI 250) <br /> According to the manufacturer,up to 250 cubic feet per minute of air can be extracted from <br /> the vadose zone with this unit <br /> The system was installed and went through startup under Permit No N-841-2-0 issued by the <br /> San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District(SJVUAPCD) During startup, the <br /> system was inspected by a representative of the SJVUAPCD and air samples were collected <br /> for analysis The air sampling was required to demonstrate that this system can meet the <br /> discharge requirements established in the SJVUAPCD permit The results are presented in <br /> the attached letter to the SJVUAPCD Verbal authorization to operate the system was <br /> 631 Commerce Drive provided on January 6, 1995 by the SJVUAPCD <br /> Roseville,CA 95678-6431 <br /> 916 969 8883 Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring <br /> 916 786 8883 On December 19, 1994 Anderson Consulting Group conducted the fourth quarter 1994 <br /> Fax 916 786 7891 groundwater monitoring We have attached the quarterly monitoring report In summary, the <br /> 360ldaho-Maryland Road results were consistent with the results of previous quarterly monitoring events <br /> Grass Valley,CA 95945-9991 <br /> 916 273 7645 <br /> Fax 916 273 9159 <br /> an employee owned company <br /> CJ recycled paper <br />
