Teichert and Sons <br /> Facility,103 North E Street, Stockton, California <br /> Mr. Knoll: <br /> On behalf of A. Teichert and Sons, Inc. (Teichert), Stratus Environmental, Inc. (Stratus) <br /> has attached additional information to support the closure documents submitted for the <br /> site on July 20, 2001, and December 17, 2001. Per our conversation on January 14, 2001, <br /> you requested the following information: field notes for the October 3, 2001 well <br /> • sampling event, an updated historical groundwater analytical data table, verification of <br /> the construction details for well MW-13, and a revised geologic cross section showing <br /> the accurate construction of well MW-13. <br /> Groundwater Sampling <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from wells MW-13, MW-14, and AS-1 on <br /> October 3, 2001, and forwarded to Alpha Analytical, Inc. for chemical analysis. <br /> Historical groundwater analytical results, including results of the October 3, 2001 <br /> sampling event, are summarized in the attached table. Field data sheets completed for the <br /> October 3, 2001 sampling event are presented in Appendix A. <br /> Well MW-13 :Construction <br /> Monitoring well MW-13 was installed on August 13, 1992, under the direction of <br /> EMCON Associates field personnel. Monitoring well MW-13 was installed to a depth of <br /> approximately 90 feet below ground surface (bgs). Details associated with the <br /> installation of well MW-13 were included in a Problem Assessment Report submitted by <br /> EMCON on December 16, 1992. A well construction diagram prepared by EMCON for <br /> monitoring well MW-13 is presented in Appendix B. <br /> Spectrum Exploration Services of Stockton, California, drilled out monitoring well MW- <br /> 13 on December 29, 1994, to approximately 90 feet bgs using 8-inch diameter hollow <br /> stem augers. The borehole was then backfilled with neat cement to a depth of <br /> P:1Teichert\Stockton-1031Correspondence\Tiechert-2ndl etter.doc <br />
