C Donald Peterson *'
Former Reeve's Exxon
the extent of the soil contamination.-Please include in the workplan, due at EHD before December 1,
2006, a proposal to complete this requirement.
Soil borings advanced in 1994 and 1997 provided laboratory data that demonstrate elevated
concentrations of TPHg were present below the side walk area north of the site, just down gradient
of the former fuel USTs. The TPHg, as well as BTEX constituents detected, have not been laterally
or vertically delineated. Further-investigation north of the site is needed. The work plan due at EHD
before December 1, 2006 is to address this directive and those given above. Please take all
necessary steps now to obtain a City of Tracy encroachment permit to install soil borings north of
Grant Line Road.
Please continue to sample the existing monitoring wells at this site on a quarterly basis and to
electronically upload to Geotracker the EDF, Geo—Well and Geo—Report submittals. Please submit l
hard copies of report text, figures and pertinent data tables to the EHD for review; submittal of field
notes and laboratory reports as part.of the complete reports to Geotracker is sufficient. Laboratory
analysis for 1,2-DCA and EDB by EPA Method 82608 are required for this site. Please include these
analytes in the next monitoring well'ground water sampling event, Fourth Quarter—2006.
You may phone Michael Infurna.at(209)468-3454 should you have any questions or wish to discuss
the site. Mr. Infurna can also be reached by electronic mail at minfurnaa-),sicehd.com.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department.
Michael J.
