Box 672 Manteca, CA 95336-9998 Subject: Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling Report Former Reeve's Exxon, 2360 East Street, Tracy, California Dear Mr. Pestana: This letter report summarizes the results of groundwater sampling activities at the subject site (Figure 1) during the month of July 2006. Site activities consisted of measuring depth to water, purging all site wells, and collecting groundwater samples from all site wells. The groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX). GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING Groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted on July 7, 2006. The depth to groundwater in site wells ranged from 12.11 to 13.95 feet below the tops of the well casings (btoc). Groundwater flow beneath the site was toward the northwest at a gradient of approximately 0.020 ft/ft. A groundwater gradient map for July 7, 2006 is presented on Figure 2. Groundwater monitoring data are summarized in Table 1. At least three well casing volumes of water were purged from wells MW 1, MW2, and MW3 prior to sampling. All purged groundwater was contained in properly labeled 55-gallon drums. Field purge logs are included in Attachment A. Groundwater samples were submitted to Argon Laboratories (FLAP #2359). The samples were analyzed for TPHg using EPA 8015B, and BTEX using EPA method 8021B. The protective well box for well MW3 has sunk to slightly below the ground surface and is in need of repair. Groundwater monitoring data and purge logs are included in Attachment A.
